A new documentary series has been launched by DJsounds, delving deep into the underground realms of dance music by city.

The episodes are a fresh take on the typical origins report, told from the perspective of the iconic forgers of each movement.

The inaugural chapter, The Underground Sound Of Paris, features Laurent Garnier, D'Julz, DJ Deep, Nick V and Jack Lang, who give personal accounts of a time period when electronic music had yet to make its imprint.

From Garnier's explanation of the affect of African music in France, to Tommy Vaudecrane's chronicle of strict oppression by police, the documentary successfully sheds light on the true memoirs of the city's underground development.

Progressing into the episode, DJsounds also enlists current "rave mavericks" Antigone, Francois X and more to discuss the evolution and impact of Paris' culture.
