Distrikt unveils line-up for its final shows of the year

Leeds' Distrikt has announced its line-ups and parties for the final segment of 2022.

The club, renowned for its free parties in a prime city centre location, is set to celebrate its 13th birthday next week too, with names such as Spokenn, Evan Baggs and Bill Brewster keeping the two-part celebrations going until the early hours of both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Also lined up for future parties this year are Jeyoh, Matisa, Ion Ludwig and Holly Why - you can see the full schedule here.

"Leeds was where I broke my clubbing virginity back in 1980 at the Warehouse," says Brewster on returning to the city to play. "It’s always thrill to go back to Yorkshire and play for some fellow northerners.”

"As the booking manager of the venue, I am always trying to make Distrikt a diverse and inclusive venue," explains Distrikt's Matt Bowles. "We work in partnership with our promoters and artists to put on incredible free events, whether that be some of the biggest names in the electronic scene or the most cutting-edge underground upcoming artists. The majority of events we put on are Leeds and Distrikt debuts, showcasing fresh and exciting music, on packed-out events week after week.

"We focus a lot on the local scene and Leeds talent but have been approached by promoters and parties from around the world wanting to work with us. Some of our best events recently have been collaborations with Houseum, Botanic Minds, OPIA, and Distrikt Paris, alongside some of our favourite local crews such as Mugpie, Limit, D.O.N, Compound, Fortynine, Truelove., Permission To Dance and many more."

The club has also just announced its addition of two CDJ3000s, boasting a full club setup and upgraded soundsystem, having upgraded to a new Martin Audio system at the end of 2021. "We've had so many compliments over the sound since we had it installed in October and it's really elevated the club to a new light," explains Matt.

Looking forward to 2023 already, the ethos and aims for Distrikt remains much the same: free entry is to remain a constant, with venue improvements always on the radar and the intention to draw in DJs from Leeds and beyond.
