Deetron
Elegant strings and chunky beats from the Swiss producer
Last year was the year Deetron launched his Character label. His Roots Panorama project with Ripperton set the wheels in motion before he returned to his solo alias for the 'Theory Of Light' EP, featuring eight-minute whizzer 'Photon'.
Fast-forward six months, past the devious Seth Troxler 12" collaboration 'Love Song', and the Swiss DJ and producer's back on the label with 'The Believer', three belting tracks with plenty of vigour.
Pacy, relentless and slicing for the first three minutes, the title track takes a one-second breather before the entrance of chunky beats and elegant string work. It doesn't take long until the relentlessness returns, though.
'The Believer' is out on Character on June 22
