Omnidisc bring more fire

Now that the secret's out that Danny Daze is the man behind the amazing Omnidisc label, it all makes perfect sense to us. The newly-formed imprint has already forged a sound that covers the best in warehouse techno and nostalgia-flecked electro, always heavy-hitting and gnarly at its core.

So far EPs from Schmutz, Cliff Lothar and Drvg Cvltvre have all stood out because of their their darkness-drenched atmospheres but now Dean Grenier steps up with his own EP of fear-inducing weaponry.

After releases on Tectonic, Sister City Limited, Photek Productions and a collaboration with Archie Pelago as Grenier Meets Archie Pelago, the American producer is one of the underground's leading lights when it comes to mechanical techno and bass-infused electronic music.

Grenier's latest offering on Omnidisc is more of the stellar same and we've got the premiere of 'Rotorvator', our favourite cut on the EP. The synths are jagged and disjointed but they work perfectly with the solid drive and fierce kicks. We've seen videos of Danny Daze dropping this one and naturally it causes a right ruckus.

As far as new labels go, none are operating to a higher standard than Omnidisc. May the golden output continue.
