David Attenborough themed raves are taking the UK by storm
Making the dancefloor a more natural place
David Attenborough’s Jungle Boogie, an all-night dancing affair that pays homage to the world’s most beloved biologist, has recently sold out two 600 - 800 capacity shows in both Leeds and Liverpool.
Playing episodes of Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II behind a DJ who throws down samples of the 91-year-old naturalist's narration, ravers don cut-out masks of the wildlife expert’s head, take photos with a life-size cutout of Attenborough and dance the night away to house, funk and disco under the fake foliage of each venue’s jungle-themed atmosphere.
Put together by the Leeds-based promotion company Good Life, word has spread about the wildly popular party and the Attenborough event is now planning stops in Bristol, Cambridge, Oxford, Brighton, Southampton, Cardiff and Leamington Spa.
