Dave is the winner of this year's Mercury Music Prize
Other nominees included Slowthai and Liitle Simz
Dave has won this year's Mercury Music Prize.
The rapper from South London beat the likes of Slowthai, Little Simz and Foals to the coveted award.
His number one album 'Psychodrama' is a deep and personal take on family, society, prison and life in a politically turbulent world and received widespread acclaim across the board.
In his acceptance speech he gave praise to the other "exceptional musicians" nominated and also dedicated the win to his brother who is currently serving a life sentence in prison, saying:
“This is your story, and even though you can’t be here, I know you’re watching this bro, and I’m so grateful, thank you so much.”
Dave £25,000 for his win and what a deserved win it was.
