Get a load of this. A new website allows you to create your own drum patterns from your web browser. The online drum machine replicas allow you to switch between a Roland TR-808, Roland TR-909, the Linndrum, Elektron's Machinedrum and an acoustic drum kit.
You can adjust the pitches of your claps and kick drums, save the rhythms for next time you visit the site, plus export them as a WAV file.
When you're done playing with that, have a go at making some acid house.
