Cosmin TRG
Listen to the dark and harrowing new monster from Cosmin TRG
Romanian artist Cosmin TRG doesn't really deal in nice music. That's not to say that his punishing and grainy strand of techno music isn't expertly executed and perfect for the dancefloor. Quite the contrary, we've seen Cosmin TRG lay down the fury to a full room at Berghain and we just about left with our faces intact. A magical yet harrowing experience.
The esteemed producer has been at the top of his game for over a decade and has released two albums via 50 Weapons under his Cosmin TRG alias. His production set knows no bounds and if unrelenting techno is your thing then you'll be well acquainted with the genre flag bearer.
His next release after a short studio break will come on his own Fizic imprint and the two-tracker is more of the brutal same. We've got the premiere of the mutant and steely 'Vitriol' and this one's not for the faint hearted.
It's grainy and muffled core is bursting with hyperactive fizzes, pounding kicks and mechanical whirrings. It's industrial techno at its most punishing and if you're expected to be eased into TRG's vision then think again. This one slams from the off.
'Uzura/Vitriol' by Cosmin TRG is out now on Fizic
