Cloud-based production tool Splice starts offering subscription service
New tool allows producers to access more samples and collaborate online
If you've been keeping up with the developments in the world of production you might have heard about a new platform called Splice, which is looking to become an industry standard in cloud-based storage and sample downloads.
The multi-faceted platform allows for producers to collaborate on projects via their cloud, and has just started offering subscription-based access to its increasingly huge bank of samples which is populated by Loopmasters, Rankin Audio and Wave Alchemy.
Splice has highlighted a sizable gap in the market for a service to offer samples, loops and one-shots independently and outside of purchasing full packs, which typically contain a lot of sounds that go unused. Through their subscription service you will be able to download either 100 ($7.99 p/m) or 300 sounds ($13.99 p/m), and both tiers will allow for unlimited browsing and auditioning.
