Chase & Status have joined forces with grassroots football club Hammersmith FC on a limited edition football kit in partnership with Kappa.

The new strips will be donned by both the men's and women's first and second teams in a move to "support a grassroots football club whose accomplishments have been huge in its short journey so far, in particular on the women's side", the duo told NME.

Both members of Chase & Status - Saul Milton and Will Kennard - grew up near Hammersmith FC in west London. The duo underlined that the sponsorship was their way of building "a deeper connection with the game in a meaningful way".

They explained that supporting the women's team is a key motivator as they "both have young daughters", so it's important to make sure that they are "empowering them by supporting inspirational females".

The Italian fashion brand has added gold highlights to the sleeves of the club's traditional all-red home strip. The blue away kit also features gold embellishments along the sleeve, while adding a repeating pattern in a slightly darker shade of blue underneath the torso. Check it out below.

Hammersmith FC was founded in 2020 by Tommy Fish. The club has seen a recent rise in pitch hire prices, according to TalkSport, leading to a need for more investment to develop kids U6 and U16 teams.

Both men's and women's first teams have been enjoying a purple patch in recent years, winning back-to-back league titles. The men's team now play in the Southern Amateur League Premier Division, while the women's team ply their trade in the Greater London Women's Football League (GLWFL).

Speaking to TalkSport, Tommy Fish explained: "I pitched the club's vision and what we're about to Chase & Status' management - they absolutely loved it, it was a match made in heaven. Back to the grassroots!"
