blk. explores the depths of hard techno in new EP
"luvs.u" is a heavy-hitting four tracker, reflecting the Irishman's artistic development
blk. has shared his latest EP, 'luvs.u', via Reboot Records IRE.
The four-tracker is laced with hard techno soundscapes, all comprised of their own elements: it negates darker pounding drumbeats and basslines, stabbing hi-hats and weaves through a hefty dose of trance throughout.
It reflects the Ireland-based DJ and producer's evolving style which has been carefully pieced together over recent times, with much of its influence stemming from clubs, parties and locations he has experienced whilst touring internationally in such a short time period.

“These are some tracks that I’ve been working on over the past few months which have been influenced heavily by my travels and some of the places I’ve played in and people I’ve met along the way," blk. tells Mixmag.
"Each track has its own personal meaning to me and they have all been getting some huge reactions at some of the shows this past while and it felt right to piece these together as a package, so I’m happy to present to you 'luvs.u' EP in all its glory."
It's set to be a busy year for blk.; already in the diary is an international programme of club shows, including an all night long tour across Scotland currently underway, with headline slots booked into Irish festival Longitude, plus Life and Emerge festivals.
