Spanning over four days, Rubin has described the fruits of the interview as a "dance music remix of the Frost/Nixon tapes", with a deep dive on the legendary DJ and producer's childhood in Chicago's South Side, his sculptural training and collaborations with artists like Moodymann, Rick Wilhite and more, plus an exploration of how social movements in 2020 have inspired his practice and dance music at large all included.

Blank Forms 09: Sound Signatures also covers an illustrated discussion between Druphad singer Amelia Cuni and the sound artist and tuning theorist Marcus Pal, where Cuni's years of studying voice and dance in India, her interpretations of John Cage and collaborations with Terry Riley and the late Catherine Christer Hennix published alongside deeply researched essays from Cuni on Hindustani classical music.

Its anthology series has covered figures like Texan composer Jerry Hunt, Organic Music pioneers Don and Moki Cherry, as well as Japanese free jazz trailblazer Masayuki Takayangi in previous editions.
