Björk joins Rosalía for surprise 'Berghain' performance at BRITS 2026

Björk joined Rosalía for a surprise performance at the 2026 BRIT Awards over the weekend. 

This year's event marked the first time that the annual British music ceremony has been held outside of London, taking over the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester on Saturday (February 28).

Rosalía, who picked up the BRIT Award for Best International Act during the night, brought out the Icelandic experimental icon for a rave-charged performance of their track 'Berghain' during the show. 

"Humongously grateful for Rosalía inviting me on her journey," Björk wrote via social media following the ceremony, sharing a picture of herself and the 'LUX' star backstage. "Gracias Gracias Gracias," Rosalía wrote in her own post about the performance.

Saturday's ceremony included a plethora of nods to Manchester's rave legacy, with appearances from The Happy Mondays' Bez and Shaun Ryder, viral "Gurning Rave Guy" Shaun Jackson, and legendary Haçienda resident DJ Paulette, who presented the award for Best Dance Act to Skepta, Fred again.. and PlaqueBoyMax.

Elusive collective Sault took home the BRIT Award for Best R&B Act, Dave was awarded Best Hip Hop/Rap/Grime Act, Mark Ronson took home an Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, and PinkPantheress was named Producer of the Year – becoming the first woman to receive the award.
