BICEP share new club-focused track, ‘CHROMA 004 ROLA’
The new, stripped-back single lands as part of the duo’s ongoing CHROMA project
BICEP have shared a brand new track as part of their ongoing CHROMA project, ‘CHROMA 004 ROLA’.
The new, stripped-back single marks a change in direction for the duo in a “stark departure from the live show”, a much “darker and heavier” offering following their recent productions.
‘CHROMA 004 ROLA’ was first teased as the opening track of their 2023 DRUMSHEDS takeover where they performed in front of 15,000-strong crowds.

The new single was debuted again today (June 24) by Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s New Music Daily Radio. Listen to it below.
“We wanted something dark and heavy to play as our first tune, as a stark departure from the live show,” the duo explain.
“It's exactly what we're wanting to achieve with CHROMA, a track written for the dancefloor with a specific idea in mind,” they say. “It's a chance for us to stretch our legs outside a traditional album cycle and focus purely on music for us DJing.”

The track lands as part of their ongoing CHROMA project, which comprises specially curated events, a record label, a “constantly evolving” live A/V show, and a “unique visual identity” curated by artist and graphic designer David Rudnick.
“It feels really refreshing for us to write music and play it out that same week," the pair explain. “It's been really fun for us to let people hear a bit of a tougher sound from us.”
The single lands just ahead of BICEP’s headline show at Glastonbury’s IICON stage this week, where they’ll perform a live A/V DJ set on Thursday, June 27. The pair are also set to perform under their newly established DOVE alias on the Levels stage.
