Berzingue announces debut EP, ‘Quitter Paname’

Parisian DJ and producer Berzingue has announced his first ever solo release, ‘Quitter Paname’.

The five-track EP will be available digitally and on vinyl via Pont Neuf - marking the imprint’s first release of 2022.

The full EP drops on February 25, although lead single ‘L’impasse’ is available now, providing ethereal and emotive basslines. The track name inspiration stems from where Berzingue used to live in Paris for two years.

Title track ‘Quitter Paname’ is a house number, layered with warm chords - described by Berzingue as “a jam I made at the beginning of the first lockdown.

“The goal was to escape with the music, which is reflected in the sound,” he adds.

‘Woodflaure’ is second and involves kick hat and synth tones to create a dancefloor cut. “I made it in one go after one of our gigs as ALVA on Concrete’s wood floor in Paris. It’s a euphoric and festive house tribute to this place,” he notes.

Penultimate track ‘Barcelonights’ features Parisian producer Cosmonection to provide feelgood beats. It was created days after a date at elrow in Barcelona, in an attempt to capture the “sunny and soaring feeling” felt whilst playing there.

Final track ‘Dilemme’ maintains high energies, with percussion and drum patterns incorporated.

Lead single ‘L’impasse’ is available now, and you can access ‘Woodflaure’ on February 18. The full EP, ‘Quitter Paname’, drops on February 25 - check it out here.
