Beating Heart (Rudimental remix)
Rudimental on rework duties
It's always a pretty special occasion when music and charity combine for the greater good and our latest premiere has a good cause running through its veins.
For the first time ever, a huge archive called the International Library of African Music has been made available and to celebrate, a foundation called Beating Heart has been set up to commission a very special set of remixes.
Artists including Kidnap Kid, Luke Vibert, My Nu Leng and Throwing Shade have all taken samples to create new music that will appear on the 'Beating Heart - Malawi' album, released June 3.
The best bit is that all the money raised goes to helping the communities where the tracks were originally made. One of the songs included is a Rudimental remix of 'The Work' and it's got everything you need for a therapeutic Monday session.
Rudimental's trademark trumpets and warm instrumentals make an appearance, as do beautiful tribal vocals and intricate percussion. You'll like this.
