Rap artist bbymutha has released a brand new single ‘go!’, set to feature on her forthcoming album ‘sleep paralysis’.

The new track has bbymutha jump into a “new era of self-discovery” and is out now via True Panther Records.

On top of the release of ‘go!’, she has also announced her ‘sleep paralysis’ tour to take place this spring kicking off in Washington DC and finishing in Manchester.

The Chattanooga-born, Atlanta-based artist has worked with nine different electronic music producers on the album including Foisey, Bon Music Vision, and Kilder,

According to a press release, the album was inspired by her post-lockdown tour in the UK where she discovered the sounds of '90s garage and UK dance music.

The album title was chosen in reflection of her own sleep paralysis which bbymutha has been experiencing since she was a child.

Using her experiences with sleep paralysis the album follows the subject by diving into the “dreamlike nature of trauma, personal history, and fantasy.”

‘sleep paraysis’ has provided a way for bbymutha to “dive back into memories she didn’t even know she had” which was “essential in crafting the forthcoming ‘sleep paralysis’, an album fascinated with the dreamlike nature of trauma, personal history, and fantasy.”
