Bandcamp has distributed $150 million in artist royalties
Over the course of eight years
Independent music servicing company Bandcamp has revealed that over the course of eight years, the platform has paid out approximately $150 million to its participating artists.
The figure seems to be proof of exactly why many indie labels and artists prefer to use Bandcamp over other more commercial and corporate retailers.
The platform caters heavily towards indie artists and looks to have maintained its promise to properly pay artists. In the past month alone, Bandcamp reports distributing $4.3 million.
