Adam X and Perc are two absolute titans of industrial techno.

The former is a verified pioneer of the genre. In Groove Records he founded the first techno-only record store in New York; he threw the first techno warehouse parties on America’s East Coast with thousands of attendees and masters such as Sven Väth and Richie Hawtin playing; and he was among the first American DJs to break into the German scene. Few other artists can boast such a presence.

Perc has equally been one of the most prominent figures in the UK for more than a decade. Since founding his Perc Trax imprint in 2004 the label has operated at the highest level, unleashing a relentless torrent of raw and hard-hitting sounds from artists such as Truss, Kyle Geiger and Matador.

In 2013 the pair released their first collaborative work together as AX&P: the incredible ‘Ampere&Ohm’ EP which blew us away with its disorientating textures and pummelling percussion. Now they’re back with a follow up 12” titled ‘Mutiny & Disorder’ which has had the same striking impact.

Opening cut ‘Mutiny’ is a battering ram of thumping kicks and distorted snares at its base, which lays a propulsive foundation from which an exploration of more off-kilter sounds led by a reverb soaked vocal and frenetic sequencer emerges.
