Avicii

Some artists like to be recognised for a signature sound they've created. Avicii, to his credit, is more experimental. He proved that in 2013, when he combined country and western with electronic music on the innovative 'Wake Me Up'. His second artist LP further proves his passion for playing around with different styles. As well as the country and western of songs such as 'Broken Arrows' and 'Trouble', he incorporates reggae on the Wyclef Jean collaboration 'Can't Catch Me', soul and jazz on 'Touch Me' and hip hop on 'Pure Grinding'. Most DJs are pretty vocal about not wanting to be pigeon-holed into a particular genre. Judging by 'Stories', it's a fate that Avicii is working extremely hard to avoid.
