Arca releases new single and music video ‘Cayó’
“It’s about exploring self-states, non-binary modes of relating of that which is ‘other’”
Arca has released a new contribution to her KICK series, ‘Cayó’.
Landing alongside a brand new music video, Arca’s latest offering sees the singer, producer and multifaceted artist head back to a period of self-reflection when she first created the track in 2020.
The single originally premiered on Arca’s DIVA_EXPERIMENTAL FM Twitch stream in early 2020, featuring additional production from Tim Hecker.
“It’s about exploring self-states, non-binary modes of relating of that which is ‘other’, creating new intersectional ways of mediating identity through exploring sensuality and heightened communion with the sensual embodiment of self,” she said on ‘Cayó’.

‘KICK ii’, ‘KicK iii’, ‘kick iiii’ and ‘kiCK iiiii’ all dropped in a mammoth release at the end of 2021. The series has now been compiled into a boxset due for release this coming May.
All four albums plus her previously released ‘KiCk i’ will be included in a limited edition number of KICK boxsets coming on May 20, which include all records on wax vinyl.
