Aphex Twin has allowed his classic track ‘Windowlicker’ to be featured in a new safe driving advertisement in the UK.

The campaign, titled Pink Kittens, aims to inform drivers about the dangers of using a mobile phone while behind the wheel.

Directed by We Are From LA (the duo behind the vid for Pharrell Williams' hit 'Happy'), the 90-second advert was filmed in South London and shows how much a driver can miss by using their phone for 2.3 seconds while moving at 30 mph.

This is the first time that Aphex has allowed one of his tracks to be used in an ad. ‘Windowlicker’, released in 1999, was James’ highest-charting single, reaching number 16 in the UK charts.
