Ableton adds export and record to its Learning Synths in new update
New languages, filters, oscillators and a new XY pad are also available
Ableton have added new features to their free Learning Synths online school.
Since the learning tool’s launch in 2019, step-by-step lessons cover the main components of synthesizers, like oscillators, filters, envelopes, and LFOs.
Learning the fundamentals of synths just got easier as users can now “add character” to their work as well as record and shape sounds in Live.

The new export function allows creations to turn into a Max for Live synth whilst the record function lets you capture up to 60 seconds of audio which you can manipulate.
Ableton have also introduced a configurable XY pad in the Playground which means users can experiment with a range of sound combinations quickly.
Other new additions to Learning Synth include dark mode, Turkish, Finnish and Portuguese language support as well as ‘Open in Playground’ buttons.
