Indie Week returns to NYC to celebrate the independent music industry

The American Association of Independent Music is returning to New York City for their 10th Annual A2IM Indie Week, June 17-20.

This international conference aims to explore the global scope of the independent music industry. The four-day event will be held at New York Law School in Tribeca, featuring keynotes, panels, workshops, and various events that are ripe for networking opportunities and connections.

Panels will be covering a wide-breadth of topics, ranging from the potential role for artificial intelligence with artists and repertoire, the future work of creative content agencies, ethical concerns surrounding music streaming, combating mental health concerns in the music industry, among many others.

Keynote speakers for the NYC-stop includes: Karyn Temple, the Register of Copyrights; Richard Gottehrer, The Orchard’s co-founder; and Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke (D-NY 9th District). Merlin CEO Charles Caldas and Impala Executive Chair Helen Smith will also be featured speakers.
