Renowned for her high-octane mixing style that move through bass music, dubstep, grime, footwork, jungle, drum and bass and more, Canadian DJ-producer and curator Andrea Graham, better known by her stage name The Librarian, is gearing up for the 11th edition of her beloved Bass Coast Festival.
Bass Coast has grown from a small 400 person festival that focused on local talent into an internationally recognized event that imports major talents from around the globe while acting as an essential platform for emerging acts in the Pacific Northwest and Bay Area. The Librarian co-founded the festival in 2009 after recognizing that BC needed an inclusive and adventurous festival of its own. Since then, her reputation as a community builder in the electronic world has brought her legions of grateful fans who have fully committed to her boisterous and rumbling sound.
The 2019 edition of Bass Coast will take place between July 12 - 15 in Merritt, BC, Canada. Bass Coast's forthcoming music has secured over 100 artists from all over the dance music spectrum, including Alix Perez, Huxley Anne, Claude VonStroke, Nightmares on Wax, Madam X, G Jones, Minor Science, Lone, Mike Slott, Denis Sulta and more.
Before Bass Coast kicks off next month, The Librarian has gone ahead and selected 14 tracks that inspire her and are emblematic of the festival's preferred sound. Check out her selections below.

"Gorgeous and lush, patient and fulfilling. This track wakes up different parts of my brain and the music video adds even more depth."
The Librarian 'Blue Tusk'
"A new twist on a classic horn sample. I’m excited to be releasing this on July 5th just before Bass Coast Festival."
Special Request 'Ardkore Dolphine'
"Special Request played Bass Coast two years ago and took us on an incredible journey through the history of jungle. The space and melody and grit in this tune bring back the feeling of being outside with sound becoming a physical experience."
Alix Perez 'Melodrama'
"Smooth, deep, and perfect at dawn or dusk. This track is meant to be played outside. I’m looking forward to hearing Alix Perez close out main stage at Bass Coast this year."
Ago 'So I Smoke'
"Sultry and deep, my heart always feels at home at 140. Ago’s entire release on Innamind is excellent. Label boss Kursk will be returning to play the festival this summer."
Flowdan 'One Question'
"I had to sneak some grime onto this playlist to satisfy my love for the grittier side of UK bass music."
Glacci 'XTC Sunstroke' (Doctor Jeep Remix)
"Doctor Jeep is another Bass Coast favorite. Though he’s not playing this year, I anticipate hearing some of his tunes throughout the weekend. Digging this new remix."
JETS 'Team Effort'
"JETS (AKA Machinedrum and Jimmy Egar) are both Bass Coast alumni and their new album is out now. I’m loving the stripped back yet punchy and shiny aesthetic of the appropriately named Team Effort."
"Fracture will be making his Bass Coast debut this year and I can’t wait to hear this tune on the big rig."
Breaka 'Damn Hot'
"I never tire of this tune, the groove settles in and gets the room bouncing."
Double 99 'RIPGroove' (Fixate Remix)
"This remix is wild. Fixate has been a fixture in my sets all year!"
Sam Binga & Halogenix 'I’m An Adult'
"I predict this will be heard at many festivals this summer… and that’s totally ok with me. It’s fun and picks up the dancefloor instantly. Catch Sam Binga on the Boiler Room livestream from Bass Coast on July 13."
A. Fruit 'Please Arrive'
"This song has such an interesting beat structure, it surprises me at every turn and the production is clear and full. Really loving A. Fruit’s output this year."
The Librarian 'Invisible'
"To close out the playlist I included Invisible which is my first release in 4 years. It’s dubby, melodic and haunting. I had the best time working on this with Neil Cooke Dallin at Burning Rainbow Studios."
