DJ Fuckoff ‘The Mix 069’
For the 69th edition of The Mix, DJ Fuckoff showcases her flirtatious club fusions over the course of an hour, running through UKG, hard bass and breaks, while channeling “bassy summertime dancefloor energy”. “I’ve been to some epic soundsystem events over the past few months, as well as hanging in the dark corners of the club! I got all that going on in this hour… full Fuckoff style.”
Skin On Skin ‘Stay On Sight on Rinse FM’
Two hours of peak-time party vibes from Skin On Skin will have you welling up knowing that these summer days are almost over, but there’s a last festival season dance to be had with this boisterous mix. Tim Reaper ‘RA. 1000’
As part of a collection of sets celebrating Resident Advisor hitting the 1000 milestone in its mix series, Tim Reaper steps up to bring a whopping 7.5-hour set to the table, packed with timeless, decades-old jungle tracks right through to futuristic 160 and breaks. “You can listen to it in instalments, or you can listen to the whole thing if you’re hardcore,” he winks.
Optimo ‘Salutes Mix on BBC Radio 6’
One half of Optimo, Jonnie Wilkes, led a beautiful salute to his duo partner of 30 years JD Twitch, AKA Keith, who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour earlier this year. It's important to note that this very special BBC Radio 6 show isn’t a tribute mix, it's a salute, a celebration, or as Wilkes eloquently explains within its runtime: a mix he hopes Keith will listen to and have an incredible time listening to. Featuring well-worn favourites of the Glasgow duo, tongue-in-cheek pop and even some special JD Twitch edits, it's an incredible, rowdy mix that we feel privileged to have been able to listen to.
