Bip Ling
In this Majestic Casual world of ‘effortlessly cool pop’ and serious so called ‘deep house’ heads, Bip Ling is a breath of fresh air with her piss-taking attitude. Some don’t get her brand of art pop, but her attitude has its roots in the 1970s mutant disco found on NYC’s Ze Records: think The Waitresses and Cristina. Liz Y2K is a fan: she dropped ‘Bip Burger’ on the Diplo And Friends show and ‘Bipping’ is a piano-led rave parody that rinses career bloggers. She recently warmed up for Kurrupt FM at their Tate Britain show with a acid house set before they lads destroyed the place. Her tongue in cheek pop will never going to get dropped at Fabric, but that Bip Burger’s still real tasty, as fashion circles love her. Yarr.
