HAAi
30-year-old HAAi has had a residency at East London’s Ridley Road Market Bar for the last two years. Playing everything from Nigerian funk and 60s French pop to Thai and Turkish oddities, it’s here that she built a reputation as one of London’s best new selectors. It’s also where she caught the attention of Andy Peyton, owner of XOYO and Phonox. He was so impressed he offered her the coveted Saturday night residency at Brixton’s Phonox, where she’ll take the reins from Jasper James this month.
