Given Greco-Roman’s record of signing future big guns like Disclosure, TEED and Roosevelt, it’s worth paying attention to JeanGa & George. The Hackney duo met bidding against each other for a Roland 707 and decided to pool resources and make sweet, melodic, pop-inflected house. Debut LP ‘European Repetitive Beats’ combines squelchy acid grooves with sugary vocals and reminds us of Cajmere, Todd Rundgren and cult 80s duo It’s Immaterial.
