Michael Baltra has had a busy year. A versatile, hard-working New York native, he’s just as likely to release an emotive deep house track as he is hazy, club-ready acid. While many lo-fi tracks are forgettable, Baltra’s suggest an artist of real substance. Support from some of dance’s most in-demand YouTube channels like Les Yeux Orange and Moskalus has created an online buzz, while a forthcoming vinyl release on Lobster Theremin affiliate Of Paradise will further bolster his reputation.
