Brooklyn-raised Todd Terry has been shaking things up in the world of house music since the late 80s and early 90s. It takes more than just perseverance to remain a coveted and appreciated name decades later - and with Terry's talent, sharp ear and ability to translate a classic sound into modern times. This year alone, Terry revived his CLS moniker with the raw 'Lay It Down' track, premiered on Mixmag.

This weekend, Todd Terry heads up to Montreal for the weekend for AIM Festival. But before he does, he's stopped by to give us the low down on some of his favorite listenings right now as a preview of what's guaranteed to be a set not to miss.

Kenny Dope 'The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind)'

"This is one of my favorite tracks of all time from Kenny Dope. I'm glad he doesn't play it, because when I play it, it makes it look like I did it!"

Everything But The Girl 'Missing' (Todd Terry Remix)

"One of my biggest records. It seems like girls always request 'Missing', so I have no choice but to play it."

Route 94 'Misunderstood'

"This is one of the tracks I play that everyone slept on! The groove is really intense."

Todd Terry & Limelife Baby 'Can You Reach' (Roog & Dennis Quin Tribute To The Maestro Mix)

"Here is a track that I'm always gonna play... one of our best remixes out on InHouse."

Todd Terry & DJ S.K.T. 'Preach'

"DJ S.K.T. and I do the best collabs ever, like what we did with 'Nite & Day'. We came back with 'Preach', a classic HOUSE banger, radio-friendly and lots of love to the dance floor."

Todd Terry 'Yah'

"This is like a tribute to my old swing style. Actually, this is a remix of a dub, because the major label took to long... haaaa!"

Todd Terry presents CLS 'Lay It Down'

"This is a tribute to Strictly Rhythm and some of the great sounds that rocked the dance floor back in the days!"

Ant LaRock 'The Crutch'

"Ant LaRock is one of the hottest new artists out there today. He seems to know how to mix the old with the new, and that's what makes him funky fresh."

Inner City 'Big Fun'

"One of my favorite house tracks. I don't care how old it is - people need to know what a real HOUSE record sounds like!"

Todd Terry x Doug Lazy 'We Love That Acid'

"Here is another one of favorite collabs with the king of hip house, Mr. Doug Lazy".
