Selects: Latmun delivers a list of his summer set favourites
Latmun gives us a sneak preview of his festival bombs
Mixmag has featured charts from many talented artists for our Selects series, including Mr. G, Modeselektor, Simian Mobile Disco and Kevin Saunderson among others. Ahead of his set at Mamby at the Beach in Chicago, Joe Bradley, who has quickly been rising in the ranks with his moniker Latmun, takes over Selects to bring us a track list of tunes he's currently got on heavy rotation in his sets. "They are all tried and tested at many festivals and open-air parties," Latmun adds. "I use each one as a different tool to curate a unique vibe and take the crowd on a journey."
Coming off of a career-defining year breaking into the scene with a slew of tech house chart toppers and finding support in the underground's elite with Skream, Claude VonStroke, Steve Lawler and more, Latmun has cemented his name as an up-and-comer to keep an eye on for any music heads in the know.
Now, thanks to his residency at Cuckoo Land for Do Not Sleep at Ibiza Rocks, Latmun has become a bonafide expert at manipulating his sharp track selection to curate sets that keep people coming back for more each time. In addition to his stop over in Chicago for Mamby on the Beach, Latmun also heads out on tour alongside Chicago legend Green Velvet and will also check in for three Paradise dates at DC-10 this summer.

Tolstoi & Andsan 'Wonder'
"The grooviest track I have at the minute. It's impossible not to dance to it and it's got some really interesting percussion melodies and happy vibes throughout."
Latmun 'Please Stop'
"I wrote this one to encapsulate the summer and vibe of outdoor festivals and partying in the sun. The seductive laughs and cheering in the track, combined with the curious synths always makes the crowd dance with smiling faces."
Mirco Caruso 'Just You & Me'
"This one is quite stripped back overall, making it sound particularly good on a big system, but the main reason I really like it is the vocal on the drop. It just does something to lift the energy and atmosphere, as it's kinda eerie and euphoric."
George Privatti 'Everybody Bodywork' (Gianni Firmaio Remix)
"This one, again, is all about the percussion; super groovy and ethnic percussion elements just work so well on outdoor stages. This is a perfect example of that."
Latmun 'Irritated Susan'
"This one is a really rolling track that doesn’t lose the energy during the breakdowns as they are all quite short, making it a useful energy groover. I wrote the track to tell a story. Each breakdown is a different stage of a phone call from a woman called Susan who has a neighbour that complains about her music. Susan apologies, and then calls back to take back her apology, as she feels its unjust. The song is dedicated to my neighbour when I was at university, who gave me a hard time about my music. Haha!"
Pawsa 'Hot'
"A straight up dance floor weapon. Nothing more needs to be said, it always goes off!"
Dominik Massaro 'Two Sides'
"This one has a really rolling feel throughout, which makes it a perfect tool for the moment between big bombs, but also a track that can control the energy effectively and keep the crowd dancing."
Pasquale Caracciolo 'El Ritmo'
"I love the sleezy bass groove on this and the crazy percussion on the drop, which always grabs people's attention. This one has no vocals in it, so it’s a useful track to keep a loop of it in throughout a number of tracks so you can get creative withn the mix."
Supernova '2 Get Her'
"Another straight up bomb that lifts the energy levels every time!"
