In partnership with Identification of Music's (IOM) new podcast IOM Recommends, each week we'll be giving you a travel guide that you can't pick up at your local bookshop — as your favourite artists give us the lowdown on their hometowns.

This week to show us around Sheffield, we've got the Steel City's very own 96 Back. Always bringing the unexpected, 96 Back, real name Evan Majumdar-Swift, has gained a reputation throughout the country for his heady mix of forward-facing rave-pop, delicate rhythm and invitingly complex IDM. Having released his first EP at just 18-years-old while under the stewardship of CPU Records', this multi-faceted producer has gone from strength to strength with knockout releases on both CPU and Local Action. As a DJ you can expect a surcharged mix of modern club cuts and rave classics — with Majumdar-Swift boasting sets at the likes of No Bounds Festival, Queens Yard, Hope Works, Corsica Studios and more.
