Moxie talks summer festival fashion
We caught up with the NTS regular and founder of On Loop at AMP Lost & Found
I’m wearing an NTS T-shirt today, with a print by Japanese illustrator Tetsunori Tawaraya on the back. I don’t generally like branded T-shirts but I always love the designs NTS create, and I’m proud to represent the station. I made sure I pre-ordered this one as it was a limited edition design.
I get my nails done every two weeks. It’s a perfect place to go with a friend and catch up, or if I’m alone I’ll just listen to podcasts and relax.
My sunglasses are by a really cool Australian brand called Poms. I’ve worn these to every single festival so far this year. I’m quite into sunglasses; I tend to get a new pair every year.
My favourite shops are YMC, Liberty, Dover Street Market, Goodhood, but also Topshop and Zara too.Online, I find vintage designer gear on Vestiaire Collective.
My trousers are by Kenzo. I’m drawn to colourful things and these are really comfortable and casual, but chic too. I couldn’t really justify the price but then I came across the last pair in a shop. It was meant to be!
My Gucci bag steals the show today. It’s new, but has a vintage feel. It’s a bum bag but is big enough to get all my essentials in like my USB sticks, headphones, purse and keys. I stopped myself buying it as I’m trying to save to buy a place, but then my boyfriend got it for me as a surprise!
I’m wearing Adidas Campus today. They’re a classic and have become my go-to raving trainer. I’ve worn them to so many clubs and festivals they’re kind of wrecked, but I can get away with it as they’re black. I wore these a lot as a kid; they’ve got a bit of a skater vibe, too.
When it comes to trainers, Nike TN’s and Air Max are favourites, too. I love them, but as I’m getting a bit older, I’ve realised I can’t live in them all the time so have started wearing shoes more.
One of my most cherished items is an Issey Miyake coat I bought last year. It’s a massive cotton anorak with a big print of plants and leaves on it.
My watch is Larson & Jennings. It’s simple and understated but gold too. I wear this every day.
My mum says that from the age of five I wouldn’t let her dress me any more and would put together my own insane outfits – clogs and flares with netted tops and massive sunglasses.
In my teens I was into UK garage. My hair was slicked back and I wore a brand called Miss Sixty, along with FCUK jumpers. I was very much into looking like a rude girl.
My friend Louise Chen has amazing style. She’s a DJ based in Paris and always looks very French and chic. Her style’s quite simple and she wears a lot of white which is impressive – I’m always scared I’ll get food down me!
