Inside The Face x eBay's inspirational evening with Tiffany Calver

On November 6, THE FACE and eBay hosted 'In Session With Tiffany Calver', an intimate evening of female-led discussions and DJ sets.

Powered by Mixmag, the soirée took place at London’s Trading Desk, a vintage clothing store in Soho. Inside, sneakers tagged and checked by eBay's Authenticity Guarantee – an expert service allowing sellers and buyers to source rare sneakers safely – filled the room, setting the stage for a community of sneaker and dance music obsessives.

To kick things off, Calver chaired an open panel talk on women's trainers and making it in the music industry, with fellow DJs ELLADHC and Laelo Black adding their take.

The women were also accompanied by Giulia Zed, co-founder of Sneaker Sisterhood, who talked about her own entrepreneurial journey as a female businesswoman.

With the audience just as much a part of the conversation, the group chatted about their love of second-hand sneakers and touched on topics including finding a community, persistence, solidarity, and womanhood.

They came to the conclusion that sneakers are a form of self-expression, much like music; both can reflect your personal style and make you stand out from the crowd.

This was followed by a lively party with a warm-up set from Kemi, the rising star selected by Calver from hundreds of applicants as part of a competition run by THE FACE x eBay.

Guests were then treated to a stellar performance from Tiffany Calver herself, as they sipped on Jubel beers and browsed the sneakers on display — with a little help from Mixmag who were on hand to capture the action.

The event was intended to create a supportive network of like-minded creatives where industry knowledge and experiences could be shared.
