Inside Captain Morgan and Pepsi Max's The Mixer pop-up in East London
Convenience store by day, raucous house party by night — find out what went down at Captain Morgan and Pepsi Max's perfectly blended Shoreditch pop-up
Combining the best elements of a convenience store and a raucous house party, Captain Morgan and Pepsi Max treated East London's revellers to a two-day immersive pop-up last week — with DJ sets from Dr Dubplate, Interplanetary Criminal, Fish56Octagon, G33 from Girls Don't Sync and more.
Celebrating the launch of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold and Pepsi Max in a pre-mixed can, the event took over Shoreditch's Kachette across October 23-24.
By day, the pop-up consisted of a fully stocked shop where attendees could pick up personalised cans of Captain Morgan and Pepsi Max, take selfies via CCTV screens and pick up exclusive merch. By night, partygoers could enter into a realistic house party.
Entering via a secret door (disguised as a drinks fridge no less), attendees were free to check out the "living room" chillout zone, take selfies in the bathroom, and in the kitchen - the heart of every house party - catch intimate DJ sets from some of dance music's brightest stars.
This included the very first b3b between Dr Dubplate, G33 and Interplanetary Criminal, while other big hitters included TikTok star Fish56Octagon, Southampton speed-garage aficionado Skeptic, Sheffield rising star Silva Bumpa — while Blumitsu, the perfect blend of Jossy itsu and Bluetoof, dished out some tech and bass bangers.
Ahead of the two-day pop-up, Captain Morgan and Pepsi Max held a special sneak preview of The Mixer for press and VIPs — with Bella's World's Dani Speaks, Love Island's Ovie Soko, Kaz Kamwi and Chris Taylor all heading down to check out the epic house party set up, with sets from Nualah and Jack Fowler.
