Honey Dijon stars in Smirnoff’s We Are Open campaign promoting nightlife inclusivity
Transgender and non-binary artists come together in the vibrant advert
Smirnoff has brought together recent Mixmag cover star Honey Dijon and French ballroom DJ Kiddy Smile in the latest part of its We Are Open campaign.
They both feature in a new advert aiming to make nightlife more inclusive, alongside British transgender model and dancer Lucy Fizz and performance artist Xnthony and Le Fil.
Soundtracked by Honey Dijon's remake of Sylvester's 'Stars', the ad's a vibrant, colourful coming together of performers both backstage and out front, with the clip ending with Honey on deck in the club.
On We Are Open, Smirnoff said: "The campaign follows brand research that found society lacks understanding of the non-binary community despite 12% of millennials identifying as transgender or gender non-conforming. Three out of four trans people report being a victim of a hate crime."
The advert was made in association with the LGBT Foundation and the partnership will also "share guidance for a bartender-training programme raising awareness of non-binary issues."
