Three days of music and culture with Vietnam's best

  • In Association with BUDX
  • 12 June 2019

Mixmag touched down in Ho Chi Minh City with BUDX to continue a worldwide tour celebrating urban culture, art, and music. Attendees experienced three full days and nights in one of Vietnam’s most buzzing cities of informative panels, workshops and exclusive sets by Cedric Gervais, What So Not, Troyboi, Masew, Touliver and Get Looze.

We sat down with some of the leading festival and club promoters to discuss the country's rising international scene, Vietnamese street style, graffiti as a form of expression and the growing influence of electronic music on the country’s pop culture and soundscape.

Panelists also explored the rise of hip hop as a prominent genre in Vietnam and spoke with Vietnamese artists about the inspiration and innovation behind their music as they delve into new territory.

Check out some of the event’s best panels highlighted below.
