Did you go out dancing in 2007?

You did? Well then you'll be familiar with the electro fever that swept across clubland for the following three years. The energetic, mischievous and often abrasive sound hit its peak when the likes of Erol Alkan, Soulwax, Justice and Boys Noize brought the genre to the masses. As far as duos went in this period, only a few ever matched up to our next In Sessionists.

Digitalism were figureheads of the sound that ripped its way through sound systems and festivals alike and their debut album 'Idealism' unleashed a new level of noisy electro music that was bursting with power. The German duo made up of Jens 'Jence' Moelle and İsmail 'Isi' Tüfekçi are responsible for tracks like 'Pogo' 'Home-Zome' and massive remixes for Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, White Stripes and Depeche Mode.

Their second album 'I Love You Dude' showed off a more refined sound and apart from a few EPs here and there, a stunning Lab performance and some occasional remixes, the duo took the back seat for a few years and worked towards something new. 2014 is here and so is new Digitalism. Expect crisper productions and a sound that caters for both existing fans and people who don't mind the EDM revolution, but want something with a bit more substance to go with the bite. To put it simply, they've been busy.

A new EP in the form of 'Wolves' is set to drop on July 14 with a set of remixes from Booka Shade, Riton and RAC. Packed with uplifting vocals, big builds and even bigger drops, this is Digitalism 2.0 and with a third studio album in the pipeline, it's time to get to know.

They're In Session this week and they've carefully curated a mix that features some new material, some tracks that show off a slightly different style and of course, some absolutely classic bangers.
