Lxury
South London producer Lxury has certainly made friends in the right places
When chart-topping, United States-invading Surrey brothers Disclosure launched their label Method Records last year, Andy Smith was the first to be snapped up by the duo. And it's easy to see why. His music echoes that of his peers, blending elements of joyous, bouncing house and snappy garage beats but with the pop-like melodies that ensure entry into the Radio 1 playlists.
His first release 'J.A.W.S' was no different, co-produced by Guy, the eldest of the Disclosure brothers, making its debut on their Essential Mix in August last year and becoming a firm favourite for the likes of Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Rob Da Bank and YouTube crusaders Eton Messy.
It only seemed a natural progression that his follow-up release, the 'Playground' EP, came out via Greco-Roman, a label where Disclosure once left their mark, this time showing a harder, sharper edged approach to production but still maintaining the youthful playfulness that endeared many of his followers to him in the first place.
His In Session is just as giddy as it moves between some of the finest bump'n'flex garage rollers and the type of house music that's been running riot at club nights throughout the UK and beyond in the past year. This one'll no doubt get you groovin' throughout the weekend.
