9 Radio Slave

'Vision' (Marcel Dettmann remix) (Rekids)

Easily the biggest techno groove of the month (and premiered on Mixmag.net), this is the biggest remix for Matt Radio Slave since Dubfire ripped up ‘Grind House’ back in 2008; it’s custom-built for Berghain at 5AM, but suitably cosmic too.

10 Felix Dickinson

'Flip Flop Licker' (Cynic)

This groove-fuelled acidic disco instrumental conjures up visions of beach parties and early mornings, with a guitar lick that channels ‘Lucky Star’ by Superfunk (aka ‘Josephine’ by Chris Rea). We’re awarding this one weirdest track title of the month too.
