Akai Professional reveals details of the MPK Mini MK3

The MPK Mini MK3 features MPC Beats and a Gen 2 keybed

Akai Professional has revealed details of the MPK Mini MK3.

Akai's latest version of the MIDI controller features the DAW MPC Beats, samples from MPC Expansion packs and virtual plugins such as AIR Hybrid,Mini Grand and Velvet.

It comes with a Gen 2 keybed (with 25 keys) which allows the use of virtual instruments such as grand and electric pianos and synths. The inclusion of velocity-sensitive backlit pads - eight of them - allow for precise drumming and melodic sample playback. There are also eight rotary knobs to allow for greater control over the production tools.

Other features include driverless plug-and-play connectivity, OLED display, a built-in arpeggiator, a sustain pedal input jack and 4-way joystick for pitch and modulation control.
