Akai Professional announces free beat-making software MPC Beats

Akai Professional has announced its beat-making software MPC Beats.

Anyone looking to use MPC Beats can access Akai's new DAW for free here. MPC Beats has a content library able to store up to 2GB, comes with three built-in MPC plugins (bassline, tubesynth and electric) and has MIDI hardware controller compatibility. MPC Beats arrives auto-mapped to make sure it can be used with controllers by numerous brands.

Some of MPC Beats' features include a 4x4 drum sample grid, a piano roll, sample library browser and a sample edit window. There are also over 80 FX plugins from the AIR effects collection and two stereo audio tracks for sampling vocals, instruments, sound design elements and much more.

Akai has also set up the MPC Beats Academy for MPC Beats users to watch a series of videos on how to use the software.
