SHDW & Obscure Shape 'Die Wiederkehr'

Featured on the debut release from Afterlife, the label which belongs to Tale Of Us, this is one of several unbelievable slammers from SHDW & Obscure Shape, some of which have featured in the techno page in Mixmag. This one obliterates dancefloors thanks to its melodramatic swathes of synth and the searing atmosphere that builds and builds until the tension simply explodes – and so does everyone on the dancefloor.

Audion 'Mouth 2 Mouth' (Dense & Pika remix)

It was difficult to choose between this and D&P’s other huge remix of Tiga’s ‘Planet E’, both have slain dancefloors this year and both are absolutely killer remixes. In the end we went for this one, purely because of that groovy bassline. Dense & Pika are masters of splicing techno with rave and deep grooves, it’s a winning formula that has made them architects of some of the year’s biggest hitters.
