New York still buzzing prior to Giuliani nightlife apocalypse. Rest of America still to be convinced. Vegas is all about Siegfried and Roy, cabaret acts and illusionists.
2015
Parts of Croatia in ruin thanks to constant dance festivals full of UK ravers. Ibiza thriving but overpriced. Berlin is all about Berghain and creeping gentrification. New York buzzing again (at least in Brooklyn). Rest of America convinced. Vegas is all about EDM and its various cabaret acts and illusionists.
Winner: 2015. Every decent-sized city in the world has a couple of cracking clubs these days (and usually a dance music conference as well), and it seems every country some amazing festivals. Great times for the travelling raver
