Smoky, purpose-built, liable to have a stupid dress code thanks to a vague aspiration to be 'glam'. Chill out areas are standard.
2015
Chilly, probably converted from a warehouse / overpass / rooftop, liable to have dodgy toilets. Every bar thinks it's a club, too.
Winner: 1995. Just remember your proper shoes. And yer fags.
