Corticyte ‘Modulate’

Played by Maya Jane Coles on Saturday: The sun was beginning to settle as Maya Jane Coles got into full swing on Saturday evening, as all attention was drawn to the Mint Presents tent. After being dazzled by Knee Deep in Sound all day, Mint Presents needed to cut the mustard; it did not disappoint.

The house diva gave us a fantastic blend of thumping four-to-the-floor rhythms, ambient build-ups and chunky basslines, but it was when she dropped 'Modulate' that grabbed our attention. With some tasty syncopated kick drums that felt more like a grime tune and acid-like bass that rattled your ribcage, it absolutely went off.

Green Velvet & Harvard Bass ‘Lazer Beams’

Played by Green Velvet on Saturday: There was no rest for the wicked in the Knee Deep in Sound tent, as the man from Chicago donned the green mohawke for what promised to be a potential highlight of the weekend.

Alongside a ruthless display of techno, Green Velvet soothed the audience with his usual monologue style speech over some of the tamer parts of his set. When 'Lazer Beams' started to peek through the Funktion One's though it was no time for sitting back. Of course, the light show was unreal and the audience were engulfed in a tidal wave of lasers; goes without saying really.

Inner City ‘Till We Meet Again (Carl Craig Remix)’

Played by Sven Vath on Saturday: Mint Presents began to draw in the punters as Saturday came to a close, and what a way to close it.

A bit of Sven never goes amiss, and it was as soon as he took to the stage where it already became special. Mint Presents had already witnessed PBR Streetgang, George Fitzgerald, Maya Jane Coles and The Martinez Brothers before Sven got up on stage, but it didn't stop him absolutely smashing it.

For us, the first tune completely blew us away. After an extended intro of sweeping chords and a hypnotic projection of Sven himself on the big screen, the vibe perfectly encapsulated the day. 'Till We Meet Again' dropped like it was hot and got us throwing some shapes for the closing set of the Saturday.

Tiger Stripes ‘Brrr’

Played by wAFF on Sunday: The second day rolled around, and we needed something to spruce us up and set the tone after Saturday's antics.

wAFF was the remedy and his tech-house showcase was all we needed to set ourselves up for the rest of the day. Saying that, it seems a disservice to just label wAFF as a warm up as he didn't do half measures and his set became one of our highlights of the weekend.

Where there was barely one tune we weren't trying to Shazam, 'Brrr' blew our socks off. The Truesoul release has to make it into the top ten.

Eats Everything feat. Tiga vs Audion ‘Dancing (Again!)’

Played by Eats Everything on Sunday: An announcement that the Elrow and Seth Troxler presents tents were merging into one saw many DJs rebilled as b2b including Eats Everything doubling up with Cajmere; nothing that upset us too much though.

'Dancing (Again!)' has been floating around for a couple of years now gathering a mass following and grabbing everyone's attention. Although it might be considered a bit too cliché to include, nobody was doubting its impact.

Picture a stage that was curated in a bizarre tribal treehouse and as Eats was feeding us a big build up, the crowd being invaded by a choreographed group of stilt-wearing tribal warriors. Including this with a cannon of confetti made for an undeniably memorable moment.

Hauswerk & Doorly ‘Swamp Donkey’

Played by Andhim on Sunday: The duo from Cologne took on the Prism stage Sunday evening to give us a blend of what they like to call 'Super House'.

Taking a break from the pumping Paradise, Elrow and Seth Troxler presents stage let us stumble upon a track which has been a big target for many an ID on various mixes lately. Being donned by Jamie Jones months ago at Ultra and being a forthcoming Hot Creations release, 'Swamp Donkey' has received a lot of hype.

Kudos to the boys from Cologne dropping this banger.

The Chemical Brothers ‘Sometimes I Feel So Deserted (Skream Remix)'

Played by Skream on Sunday: Sunday is coming to a close and the Elrow/Seth Troxler presents stage has barely taken a break. Skream has been thrown together with Tom Trago for a b2b session and the crowd is pumping.

There's no doubting Skream's production ability and his recent remix of the Chemical Brothers has given birth to a juggernaut of a techno tune. It's hard to take highlights from the Elrow/Seth Troxler presents tent as there's too many to mention, but this took things to a new level.
