10 DJs you should check at Glasto's dance arena this year
The line-up for Silver Hayes dropped this week
9 DJ Premier
Preemo is not only one of the most legendary producers in hip hop history with a host of seminal albums as one half of Gang Starr and beats on records from the likes of Nas, Jay-Z, D’Angelo and The Notorious B.I.G under his belt, he also remains one of the best DJs in the game. Energy courses through his sets from the irresistible beats he spins and scratches to his free use of the mic to incite hype more fervently than many dedicated MCs ever can. Put simply he’s one of the best to ever do it and his sets are always wild and unmissable affairs.
10 Four Tet
With literally hundreds of acts to choose from at Glastonbury, navigating the musical landscape can be a tricky procedure but if there's one thing we've learned over the last few years, it's that Four Tet is an absolute festival dead-cert.
At Glasto last year he demolished the already run-down Block9 arena in the darkness and at Dekmantel he played one of the sets of the weekend on the main stage with the sun beaming down. The best thing is that he never plays the same set twice and although you can always expect him to drop a few of his classic tracks, there's always a sprinkling of curveballs for good measure.
Hearing him play 'Muryani' by Eric Prydz at Dekmantel was a stroke of genius and when he steps up in the Silver Hayes area this year, we're awaiting similarly epic results.
