Watch the "abstract" new film from FKA Twigs titled Soundtrack 7

Displaying a series of expressive performances

FKA Twigs has unveiled her highly-anticipated film Soundtrack 7, premiered via BBC4.

The 35-minute piece, which has been described as an “abstract autobiographical” documentary of sorts, was filmed during FKA Twigs’ residency at the Manchester International Festival last year.

Last week the artist posted on Twitter stating that viewers can expect Soundtrack 7 to feature "flesh, sweat, feeling, muscle - no airbrushing, no frills..."

With a focus on showcasing the development of her creative direction, FKA Twigs reveals a unique aspect of her artistry through a series of performances, including ‘Good To Love’, ‘How’s That’ and ‘Ultraviolet’. A recital of a poem by Thomas Wyatt, titled ‘I Find No Peace’, is also highlighted.

Viewers in the UK can watch the complete film via BBC’s iPlayer here, while those around the world will have to wait for FKA Twigs to upload to her website later today.
