Waka Flocka Flame: "DJs and producers... Stick to your fucking profession!"
The rapper thinks DJs and producers have no business releasing albums
Rapper Waka Flocka Flame had some choice words for rising superstar DJs and producers during a recent live stream.
"Is it me or - goddamn - when a DJ or a producer get famous, they wanna drop an album," Flocka said, frustrated. “N---a, you’re not a rapper... you’re not an artist. Stick to your fucking profession, man. Fuck!”
Though he didn't directly call any particular names out, it's not difficult to connect the rapper's upset with people like Calvin Harris and Skrillex who have rapidly risen beyond merely being categorized as "DJs" with radio hits and major artist features.
Ironically, Waka Flocka Flame has collaborated himself with plenty of DJs and producers that could also be targeted in his rant including Steve Aoki on his 'Neon Future' album and released his own "EDM rap" album called 'Turn Up God'.
